South Soul Symphony – Another Day (Jay Vegas Tribute Mix)
There was a particular Sunday where it was also a Funday; had plans later to shred some Hibachi with the boys for brunch. Alexa came in hot with some top picks and out within the first three came “South Soul Symphony – Another Day (Jay Vegas Tribute Mix)”, a very groovy track that will transport you back to the disco days.
VOLO – Last Nomad
This has to be one of the most unique tracks I have heard in recent time, specifically due to it’s ability to take the listener on a hybrid journey sonically. At times it feels almost tribal in nature, and at other times eastern.
SHY Martin – Forget To Forget
SHY Martin continues to impress with her radio-ready hits and it’s no different with “Forget to Forget”. Seductive vocals and a beat that will surely pull you in makes this one hard to forget. SHY Martin’s production value sounds a mile ahead, which makes her an artist we think you need to be on the look out for.
Indeep – Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (JM Jackmaster Edit)
Wowzers, all I want to do right now is hit up my besties and go out clubbing with them all after having listened to the JM Jackmaster Edit of “Last Night A DJ Saved My Life”. This jam will have you so grooved up you won’t know what to do with yourself for the rest of the day.
DallasK x Nicky Romero – Sometimes Ft. XYLO
I’ve been a huge fan of DallasK, Nicky Romero & XYLO for some time now so to listen to a collaboration of the trio is practically unimaginable to me. I hopped into this track knowing it would be a phenomenal piece of art and it turned out to be a hundred times better than my expectations.
Quinn Lewis – In Between
Funny enough, Quinn Lewis’ massive Hype Machine topping release, “Slipping” happened to slip past me during its initial release. Luckily I’m happy to have found him through his latest work, “In Between”. The piece features R&B elements with a catchy melody that I continue to have stuck in my head.
Obliques – Are You Still Mine?
‘Are You Still Mine’ is a track that has confined my ears in a chamber of classic reminiscence that I do not want to leave. Described as groovy fire by some and an extravaganza of throw back chill vibes by others, Obliques did an amazing job at creating a jam that is great for any occasion.
Gianni Blu Ft. Mingue – Tell Me What It Feels Like
Gianni Blu is back, and this time with a nice change up bringing us what feels like a classic deep house track with smooth & sexy guitar riffs. It was great hearing his wide range as a musician since the last piece I encountered “Thinking About You” was a club ready house track, that’s sure to get the party going.
Yoe Mase – Falling
The name Yoe Mase sounded familiar but I had to go back through the archives and my library to remember if I had any of his works. After a quick deep dive it clicked that I discovered Yoe through “PTSD” and “Thrive”, which are both of the chiller variety and filled with passion.
AK Ft. Zoe Moon – Ghost on Your Lips
The song “Ghost on Your Lips” by AK comes in ever so gently with these chime plucks, then before you know it a whole new melodic transition comes forth and next you’re deep in a fully fledged DnB track. What’s special about how AK does it is that the listener feels as if they are on a journey rather than being blasted by repetitive beats most DnB tracks seem to hit with.
DallasK – Recover
DallasK is an artist Iv’e been fond of since he emerged with predominately, electro infused house music. His latest release, “Recover” features his own vocals creating an impressive 360° production experience. It’s clear Dallask’s has been experimenting more towards pop centered works while still keeping his electronic roots intact.
Meek Mill x Drake – Going Bad
Lord have mercy on the rap game right now as we got Meek and Drake out here collabing like it’s no one’s business. Their new slap “Going Bad” is fresh in the paint right now and is absolutely shredding the charts peaking at number 6 on the Billboard Top 100.
Bruno Martini x Zeeba – With Me
Bruno Martini has a track record of packing his songs full of positivity that energize me to the max making me want to get up and move. After partnering up for another release with Zeeba, “With Me” has a more emotional component than anything I have heard thus far from the talented artist.
shallou – count on Ft. Colin
If there is any artist that can be said to be dominating the deep felt soulful chill niche within the music community, that would hands down be shallou. Walking the streets as Joe Boston, shallou certainly picked a fantastic stage name; something about it just really pairs well with the style of music he puts out and in addition, shallou rolls pleasantly off the tongue.
Ofenbach – Be Mine
Ofenbach has done it again with his latest release ‘Be Mine’ – An upbeat and feel good dance tune that is sure to get you going. He merges an almost folk vibe, with bass driven parts that bring on the anticipation of the track’s strongest portion.
Seven Lions x Tritonal x Kill The Noise Ft. HALIENE – Horizon
We have a special one for you today and it’s surely one you won’t want to miss. Three power houses: Seven Lions, Tritonal, and Kill The Noise all come together for “Horizon” and bring forth a collab somehow capable of exceeding our expectations. Truly a cinematic beauty.
Gryffin & SLANDER – All You Need To Know Ft. Calle Lehmann
A song capable of shooting clouds out the sky, you will surely be in awe as your ears soak in the captivating notes this jam spills out. The notes are immersive and are the essence and form of upward motion that seemingly embody every human act and thought that has ascent as its motives.
Colin Magalong – Melo
Colin Magalong’s latest, “Melo” brings a nice mixture of a laid-back sunset feel with an R&B and sensual touch. This is a pop-leaning piece with vocals that are reminiscent of Bruno Mars, which is impressive in itself. Colin Magalong is definitely an up-and-comer capable of crafting a piece that sounds a mile ahead.
SLANDER & Bret James – Slow Motion
SLANDER teams up with long time friend, Bret James to bring us an intoxicating chill-bass track with smooth guitar licks worked in. You can really feel Slander’s old melodic style here along with Bret James’ soulful touch worked in. Relax and enjoy this one.
Clyde Hill + Jason Gaffner – Night And Day
“Night and Day” gifted me with one of the biggest smiles Iv’e had in a good minute so I’m very grateful to have come across the piece. This is the first track Iv’e had the pleasure of listening to from both Clyde Hill and Jason Gaffner, so it was nice hearing something a bit different.
