ARMNHMR has been on our radar for quite some time now. The duo has been slaying productions and mixes across the globe for years and they never fail to impress. There are many acts out there who contain a quality catalog of tracks garnered throughout the year, and if artist’s are nice enough, they will sometimes weave them together in the form of a mix at the end of the year. Two Friends are a well known act who encompass the top tracks of the year within their mixes. We can easily say that ARMNHMR ranks right next to Two Friends in terms of quality mixing style and track selection within.
Sam Smith - Unholy (Masri Remix)
We get incredible submissions with tons of energy and groove on a daily basis; this one however particularly stood out as different. Sam Smith’s ‘UnHoly’ was remixed by Masri and it truly takes the cake, it’s the perfect combination of funky inspired sounds melted into a house banger. Utilizing Y2K’s chords from ‘Lalala’ and blending it with the vocals from Sam Smiths ‘Unholy’, we have been blessed with a masterpiece. There’s a rapper on the block going by the name Kota. and he is an absolute legend of man, an animal to say the least. This gem hails from Atlanta and is currently signed to Unfownd Musik. Sometimes I like to get a little wild over here at Affinity Ascension so thank the skies that R3HAB, W&W & Timmy Trumpet came through with a banger for the ages recently. The air package they dropped containing the goods is their new release titled ‘Poison’, a banger that is monumental and withholds house shaking capabilities as well as the potential to light up festival raves to grand proportions. It’s a banger that can be easily worked into a harder style rave mix, especially with that first drop which puts ones mind into a mad astral frenzy of pure joy. Awesome to hear a collaboration between these epic gents, they really merged together to finesse such a bralic jam onto the scene.
